Project Overview

East MINDS Consulting Group was engaged by VIHC to lead a transparent and merit-based recruitment and selection process for key strategic roles. The assignment was designed to strengthen the company’s institutional capacity and ensure it attracted top talent to support its growing mandate.

Our Role

We managed the entire recruitment cycle, including:

  • Designing job profiles and role specifications

  • Advertising and candidate sourcing

  • Screening and shortlisting applications

  • Competency-based interviews with a structured scoring system

  • Reference and background checks

  • Final recommendations and onboarding support guidance

Outcomes

  • 87 applications received across all positions

  • A multi-stage interview process was conducted with an independent panel

  • Four high-caliber professionals appointed to critical roles:

    • Knowledge Musendekwa – Accounting Officer

    • Irene Cosma – Legal Officer

    • Eucalia Varaidzo Shamwarira – Projects Officer (Agriculture)

    • Evelyne Maforo – Executive Assistant/PA to Group CEO

This recruitment exercise not only filled vital roles but also enhanced VIHC’s credibility through a fair, professional, and transparent HR process, reinforcing governance and supporting long-term growth.
